We are pleased to inform you that we have introduced two new finishes to our whole range of industrial tables. You can now choose from 3 finishes. We have the original and ever-popular Lacquered Raw finish, plus the exciting new Burnished Silver and Burnished Copper ranges. The original Raw Finished steel gives a truly industrial look to the range - it shows the manufacturing process.
The metal used to produce this wonderful piece of furniture is known as carbon steel and is a metal which oxidises or rusts in its natural state. The components are prepared and cleaned before going through a special paint process using heat. However, oxidisation is still possible and this is a natural process and will add character in time to each individual piece should it occur.
The wood used is rough sawn redwood. The wood has a waxed finish which creates a rustic, warm look that compliments the metal. This wood has been dried prior to manufacture, but will sometimes move to acclimatise temperature and moisture. This can involve shrinking, expansion and movement. It is not a fault - it is completely normal and a natural characteristic. Superficial splits may occur too and of course every piece of wood is different so some may have more knots or discrepancies than others.
